One sticking - original method

Can you explain how 2TC is easier or more efficient than climbing down as shown in the video? I know it was only 15’ but it’s down and pack in 2mins.
As I stated, I've never onestick down so this is just all from observation. But for one, the noise generated from the video is a lot more than moving a tender down. There is no brackets hitting against the tree with a soft tender. While he does get more distance per movement, it take him more time to mess with the stick due to not undoing the straps/ropes. Just me, but if I didn't rappel, 2TC down with a multistep aider/etrier would be quieter. Or a movable foot loop like the Garda footloop.

But to each their own. So many ways to do things. You are right, not having to mess with rappel rope can save you a few minutes, but I rather trade the time for the quietness of rappelling or 2TC down. It would be nice to have a solid foot support as you go down, but rappelling is just fun to be honest.
