One sticks (rabbit hole... nothing to see here)

Yes, I'm happy with it. It's to be expected. It's grips the tree well, is light and easy to carry. Plenty of room for shorter sits.

When you get it all set up could you let me know the weight with both bat platform's on it? Thanks Again

Still needs an aider. I typically just stick to one step aider.

Nice!!! Can't wait to get my stick finished I'm gonna run 1 18inch webbing aider also. I ordered rope and safe gard kit from EWO.

I still need to add a cam cleat to this one, but someone mentioned a similiar setup. I did shorten the length a bit and drilled my cleat & rope holes today.
This will make zero sense to some, but I paid the initial bat/raptor price which was quite a bit so had to invest/buy more at the reduced price to bring my piece price down.

You talked about drilling a hole for your rope how are you attaching the rope. Thanks

I'm using 6mm rope. I drill a 7mm or slightly larger hole, 1/4in can work too through the side of the stick.
Feed rope through tube and tie stopper knot.
I can send a close up tomorrow.

Edit... make sure holes are smooth as not to damage rope.

If you're using the beast stick with the holes this can also work.

Hey @Chrighton can you show a picture from the top showing the shape difference and distance from tree difference between a Raptor and an EWO standoff ?
Not really a big deal but if you got the parts laying around it'd be nice to see.

It worked fine but I ran a U.P. on a Muddy stick for a while before I put an EWO step on the bottom to match it up...

Looks like a neat stick but I don't like the sharp edge for the aider that Beast Gear created with the chamfered outer edge. Milling should have stopped ahead of the web strap slot and been left at 90 deg. Chamfer in that location they created a knife edge. If I used an aider with Bat or Raptor I'd be looping the web strap around the entire step wrung, not through the slot or flipping it over to use the web strap slots. My $0.02.

That is DIY and those steps are 3d printed. Post #1 pic #1 is same all aluminum setup.
Post #2 pic #1 shows it in action on the tree.

Like your design and I'll say now I'd be pissed to see someone else cut the same in aluminum next year after your putting it out there. Like your notched sides not only for traction but for positioning your rope tether for the climb.
