Perfect hunting kayak

Just took two seats out of my Saranac and installed ash thwarts with an ash brace down to the keel. Lighter, Way more room.

Big mistake, I took the kayak to the lake and let my wife try it. Now I'm in the market for a second fishing kayak. OMG she is getting expensive in her old(er) age!!!!!!

Might cost you more in short term - but a family that plays together stays together - much cheaper in the long term (ask me I know)

Paddlin' womens is the best kinda womens. My wife loves being out on the water, and has overnighted in some conditions a lot of manly men would find offputting.

I gotta say, having an outdoor wife, not a shopping mall wife is great. I think it's actually cheaper, and much more fun.

I’m dragging my wife kicking and screaming into the outdoors. I have no problem getting her involved in the mountains, but this hot, humid, bug infested north Texas is beyond her comfort zone.

I picked up a 14' sportspal recently for a piece of public with decent river access. Got it out the other day to check out access and put up some trail cams. Gotta say I'm really digging it for low impact out of the way entry, and plenty of room for hauling out deer.

They're definetly on the lighter side of canoes. At #60 its a pretty good compromise for capacity and stability. The width of it makes moving it difficult moreso than the weight. Some of these plastic and aluminum canoes 14-15' are #80-90. I tried a 10' solo canoe at #40 and the stability was awful. I'm super happy with the canoe at this time!

Not trying to hi jack but.. anyone tried poling a canoe or kayak.. seems to be a learning curve but maybe better than sloshing sound in waders or hip boots

I've never had a need to pole, really. If the bost floats, I can paddle it. If not, well...****oki.

Ever looked at a Slipstream canoe? A 13 footer is listed as less than 20 lbs., with a 500 lb. plus capacity.

When I flats fished in mine I made a stake out pole about 8 foot long. It worked great for poling in shallow water. Canoe paddles are stiff enough to push off with and I often used them on really small creeks.
