I agree with hunter. Buy a predator or similar, cant go wrong and it will last a very long time. All said and done a DIY project wont save you that much money and will most likely fall short in quality

Agree with the above. I built a diy to mess and around and experiment but eventually sold it and bought a RR.

Like the others said it will be faster but if you're like me DYF type of person and enjoys making things with your own two hands you don't need any one to help you decide what to do have fun and enjoy yourself!

Opps not good at posting yet I was trying to give torvic a thumbs up
I live for tinkering in my shop

boom boom.
I had one of these laying around and swapped the mesh out for some 1/4" plywood just for S&Gs. Slapped it on the tree and it was garbage under my 250lbs. Swapped the strap for one with less stretch, reinforced the bracket that holds the seat, added another standoff, and it still flexed and twisted. Never stood on it for more than 5 seconds for fear of it snapping. Maybe others have had better luck but mine went into the parts pile.

I’d go ahead and buy a ridge runner or predator. There are so many advantages and it’ll just be about $50 more.

This is perhaps the most logical post ever posted on this site. You don’t need a survey, just this one post.
