This is a platform I made. Try at your own risk . It is very stable and only whays 3.5 lbs . this is my latest version with a strap hooked to the bottom saport to make sure it doesn't kick out.you put it flat against the tree and then lift it up. Than cam tight and lock the bottom saport in place.

I have several bigger versions of this my father made me when I was younger and they are still the most stable stands I have ever had!!! Definitely have to make me a smaller version like yours, to cool!!!
 
A bigger version of that was the first portable stand I had. Ground breaking back in the day
