I believe in the power of prayer. I’ve tossed up some prayers as best I could for some of you. Now with a little bit of selfish guilt, I’m humbling asking if you could pray for me. God knows me as Brett - not Patriot
three weeks ago I had a basic bicep repair surgery so I could get back in the gym and toss the weights again. When I woke up I couldn’t move my right hand. I’m a righty. My doc admits that they messed up and caused nerve damage. He says it will come back but he has displayed a lot of behaviors and made statements that concern me and my rehab specialist. Bottom line is I don’t trust him bc I appear to have two nerves damaged and he should have been nowhere near the second.
I’m scared. I want to hold my bow again and be a hunter. I want to play basketball with my son, and I want to hit a couple three pointers in a row in my basketball league and look over at my son on my teams bench as our little buddy and team mascot and see the pride and admiration in his eyes as his old man shows him he’s still got it.
If you are comfortable doing so please pray for my recovery, for my heart to remain free of anger and resentment, and most of all for me to use this adversity as an opportunity to emerge from this with a stronger relationship with God.
