I use different ropes for different applications and predator is my favorite to use for my tether. Like everything about it but when doing my routine rope checks this morning I noticed multiple flat spots in the rope. Flat spots are generally an early warning sign to replace the rope because the core has been compromised. This has me concerned because I've only used this tether for maybe a total of 10 hours in the last month while shooting from my practice tree. Has anyone else noticed this with their predator??

I haven’t noticed this on my Predator rope, which I use for a linesman’s and tether so i’ll follow this thread closely. Out of curiosity what have you been using to adjust the length of your tether?

Are the flat spots on the rope where it touches the tree or around the ropeman?
