Question for carbon arrow builders

Blue low melt hot glue been working for me for decades. I switched to tape for my feathers. Carbon is so easy, just take a scotch pad and LIGHTLY ruff up the feather area, wipe with alcohol pad and fletch away - takes me like 5 minutes to stick on 3 feathers and they don't come off easy at all. Screw a field point into insert and heat and the inserts come off easily - I have NEVER had one come off during hunting or on a shot using blue sticks.

I use hot melt for tuning purposes. But always epoxy once the tuning process is done.

This is what I do, I find hot glue doesn’t hold up as good, what I found with eastern trads and the heavy inserts once you use epoxy they are bomb proof even for stumping, I have had a few snap from not getting a pass through on odd angles but I can still cut the carbon/ epoxy from the insert to re use as I am tight lol,
With hot glue you lose the insert and field tip in targets when you practice, Regards Wayne

All u hot melt guys.......I've read this whole thread. Nobody mentions the best hot melt ever...cheapest also.
Go to Wally World and hit the craft section. They have bags of low temp hot melt sticks for $3 you'll have enough for you and the family for life.
I use a small propane torch heat up the insert while holding onto the field tip with pliers. Apply glue to insert push it into arrow quickly pull out collect extra glue around top of shaft reinsert insert and dunk into cold water asap.
To remove...heat field tip up a few seconds pull out with pliers.
