I think we’re talking past each other. I agree that your Palmer, compared to what you experienced with the cat, paired with HOW you use it is a good setup for you.


Thankfully for both of us there are options that satisfy each of our needs.

Some of these full containment quivers don't get much exposure is the reason I bring them up. I think Rod Jenkins designed the Safari Tuff and he's a pretty big deal in the Trad world. Watch the vids on how fast arrows come to hand without having to look.

Speaking of over the shoulder quivers, I also tried an Asbell......another no go. Everything was exposed and I always felt like I needed a fletch cover to prevent grabbing attention.....and it took two hands to put arrows in it instead of one. It's the little things.

I know this isn't a trad pic, but here is my Palmer used with a pack in the CO mountains. The arrow access is just below my elbow.
