High life for the low lifes! That's my preferred brand of oat soda!
I did have a, "Why didn't I think of that?" moment when I tied the buckleless strap for the first time. You're looking at the first time I'd ever tied it in the vid. I'm assuming it could be done the same way on any other stick too?
@Vtbow, waiting for our post office to open. I'll let yall know in a few.
Yup. I have some 3/4" dyneema daisychain coming to me to try out, but the buckleless strap has set the bar pretty high, and it's cheap!Me too....lol
I took the strap off and tied it the first time. I have been using the straps for decades. Why have I never thought taking the damn buckle off????

Yes it is. I don't have a link, but I can definitely do a quick video this evening. It's really embarrassing that nobody has figured it out before.Does anyone have a link to a thread or video that shows how to loop/tie the strap without the buckle? Is it similar to what you'd do with a rope mod?

No, I agree with the fiddling around part. I originally had my DIY sticks setup to pivot, for stacking. They worked great (wingnuts). But I don't want to fart around at the bottom of the tree before slipping out. More involved than the LW for sure. Just not worth it to meI think the buckle less straps is the cats meow.
To much fiddle factor straightening out the bark biters and steps every time you set up and tear down. They also did not stack together as good as I hoped.
Maybe I am just use to my beast sticks.
YesWith grommets?
No wonder I'm still fat. So much for weighing out my allotted grub!Sounds like their advertising of 1.5 is bare stick and pretty accurate. And you need a new scale
I'm puzzling over that right now. Inhave a few ideas, and think that I might enjoy climbing with them. I'll be kneecapped when it comes to climbing height though in comparision to my bolt system. But it should be quick and easy.Still interested in seeing your "pack- in" to hunting location set up (how you'll rig them up to carry them in) and then your "tree-up" strategy once at your spot and ready to head up the tree.
So you got the same weight as I did on your scale? Interesting. Maybe we need a new one at work. The compact sticks are 1lb 12oz bare. 2lbs 2oz with buckle strap.
Way over advertised.
The sticks should be advertised ready to hunt with the strap they come with.
The stand was about 10.5lbs with strap seat and backpack straps if I remember correctly.
The compact sticks were advertised as 1.5lbs, full stick 2lbs and stand 7.5lbs hunt weight. They didn’t hit any of those weights. The full length sticks are even heavier than the original.
