I saw that issue raised so used a fig8 on a bight. I also considered an anchor hitch or a estar hitch but the fig8 worked best. I also like not trying to pull down a big heavy hunk of metal in the dark. I may move my pulldown clip location if i encounter any issues as well.
Only problems I've had thusfar with this have been forgetting to remove my locking band, but a strong enough pull will generally cause it to break off.
I'm using the 5mm camp link which is 25kn rated but NOT CE certified, and a castration band to lock in place. CE specifies a 12mm pin be used for loading tests. I don't think a 12mm pin would fit in the link...
