Replacing the bridge carabiner??

Now I have 11 more reasons to thank you.
I really like the idea of a whoopee for an adjustable bridge.
First year with a saddle for a guy who always forgot to wear his safety line on his climber...trying to play it safe preseason to limit the chances I take during the season.
I think a big knot will do the trick or the spliced eye.
Almost everyone on this site uses a fixed bridge. I think Ernie uses an adjustable for repelling, so I am different. It is lighter than a standard predator bridge with carabiners and it has the potential to be quieter.
If you make it long enough you can use the bridge like suspenders too when walking in. I think a long bridge is more comfortable but to shoot I usually shorten it unless I am trying to lean back for a shot or walk around the tree. To adjust it I like to lean back on my back band to take the weight off the tether.

I believe, in my limited rescue training experience, the general consensus of the bowline is that it is ok to use for life support ONLY in non-moving applications such as stationary anchor points.

I believe the reasoning is because in a moving situation a bowline has the potential to loosen (by rubbing over an object). This is in industrial type rescue situations so zero chances are taken.

To connect to your saddle personally I would prefer to use a figure 8. But, with the knot right there in front of you I think you could leave enough tag and monitor the knot enough to be safe.

Most important is that your are very comfortable and confident in the bowline.
I wouldn't use bowline I would use a figure 8 for my bridge.

I use an ajustable bridge. I have a ropeman 1 on it for easy adjustments. I like to be able to lengthen and shorten my bridge as needed . Love the ropeman 1 have one on my linesman belt, one on my tether, and one on my bridge also have one on my Red's climbing aider. Just can't het enough of these ropeman .
