Saddle hunters support thread.

I fell off the wagon today. Yes I am a gear junky. Finally sold my last two Alpha tree stands. A gear junky with money in his pocket is very!!!
So I purchased a new tether and linesman from Woods Saddles. Then with a lot cash left, I realized I may need a lite weight tree stand for the few times a saddle will not work. Now even though I said I would not I did buy a LWCG .75.

Did you call your sponsor!?

Gear and gadget junky as well but I’m also cheap and poor.

Was wanting some nice synthetic game bags but wasn’t going to pay $$$ for them so I bought some nylon fabric and sewed my own. They’re “artisan” in quality but they’ll work.

@Fl Canopy Stalker. Help him. NOW!

For those who need help resisting new gear..

Repeat after me.
I don't need to purchase the lastest and greatest equipment out there.
The equipment I have is just as good. The new stuff is only different. Not better.
I can resist buying new stuff I don't really need. It will not make me a better hunter.
I will scout instead of trying to figure out how to shave 3 ounces off my set up.

Now. Reflect on the deer you killed previously, and ask your self if that piece of gear you desire would have changed that outcome. See. It didn't..
Buy your wife something nice instead and give it to her before hunting season so you can hunt more..
:) :);)
You got hacked.

Ya. Too many cars in the driveway and it isn’t your birthday? Keep on truckin. Hopefully you have all your saddle hunting gear in the truck with you. If not, just make a post here and we will all send you brand new stuff.

I was weak and gave into temptation today. Picked up a new Vortex Viper HD 3000 rangefinder at Cabelas today to replace my ancient Bushnell. This one has angle compensation, which we'll need for this year's bear hunting since we put our blind up high on a ridge, shooting down. Love the clarity of this new unit and the illuminated info. The VIP Vortex lifetime warranty is nice too.

Forgive me, saddlehunters, for I have sinned.....lol

PS....guess what hand-me-down my kid's gonna get for Christmas this year? :tearsofjoy:

Fo shure need that when you come hunt the blacktail woods, that Buck is only 95 yards away across that canyon, but its 250 yards down to the creek a 250 back up the other side in a clearcut.

Y’all make this way too complicated. It’s simple math. When you get paid take 10% off the top as your tithe. Then another 10% into savings. That leaves you 80 percent for saddle hunting essentials. Come on guys be more responsible with your money.

I ordered the 2023 PSE Mach 34. Now…..I did have the Levitate but I sold it and just used that money to get this bow. It’s essentially the same just with different cams. So we will call this purchase a wash.
In 87' or 88' I bought the brand new PSE Mach Flite 4 ...LOL...I used it for about 14 seasons then went to a matthews and last year went to the Elite Kure...lots of deer shot with that Mach Flite 4...now its at 34?...wo
