I think most people print and scan.

G2 is it OK to send payment along with money for raffle tickets to your Pay pal like last year? I don't see a link on the sign up for this

I registered two more weapons today. So for those of you that may need a weapon, I'll have a .300 blackout, a .300 WinMag, a .35 Remington lever action, and a .22 Mag available. There are several fellers that have multiple weapons registered as well. Don't let that stop you from attending. I'm looking at you @swampsnyper

I’m just not feeling it gMoney. I’d sure like to meet a few guys here but I’m just exhausted from this house build. Been working on it everyday for a long time now. Hadn’t even made a hunt yet except to sit in a ground blind one evening with my son. After I’m done with this house I may feel different. But right now, I can’t wait until I don’t have to see or deal with another human. I’m ready to crawl in my whole and hibernate.

How would one go about possibly signing up a friend who isn't on the forum? Is that allowed? Got a buddy who's a hog-killing machine and just told me he was looking at getting into saddles after this year's season wraps up. I told him this would be the event to attend before he started dropping pesos.

Also, I put my name on the spreadsheet and am going to try to knock out the registration aspect today. Is any ody else not getting the blue link 5hats referred to? Do you have to do that on a computer instead of a phone?

Yes that's definitely allowed. Just sign him up on the sheet. If you want to pay his way great if not make him pay his own. Everybody's welcome at Saddle Palooza! I mean they let @huck72412 attend for crying out loud.

I've got a million questions, and don't want to bother the group too much. This will be my first out-of-state hunt, so I'm a little ignorant. Plus, I'm trying to batten down the hatches since I'm dragging my buddy along and don't want to look like a maroon when he starts asking questions.

Is there a palooza veteran that would tolerate a few pm's and possibly a phone conversation with me?

Consider opening a new thread. I am sure there are others with the same questions (probably me!)

I would be happy to answer any questions you may have either on the phone or through a pm. It actually may be just as good to put it in the thread or maybe in another thread because others may have the same questions. There’s a few hunts here in Georgia that are really popular. One of the forums I’m on has a sticky titled Hunting Sapelo for the ignorant or something similar because it answers the most common questions.

I would recommend reading the ft Stewart hunting sop and getting familiar with the guidelines before asking too many rules related questions. Really once you read it and download the avenza maps, then get familiar with the isportsman.net website all that’s left to do is kill pigs.

This will be my first time hunting out of NYS. Any idea how to travel Savannah with the all the needed gear? I am a road dog in the business world, I travel every week. But I don't need firearms, fishing tackle, camping gear, etc... just my laptop ;-) I am thinking I can ship some stuff and rent some stuff. Any one have any experience that I can lean on for guidance? If there is a thread for this just point me to it.

I will have a shotgun, a Rimfire, and Centerfire rifle that you can borrow if you don't want to travel with firearms. But you are coming to the South where Firearms are not only welcomed, but it is frowned upon if you do not have one in your presence. As far as camping gear I would say just bring your tent, sleeping bag, and a ice chest. I would try to keep breakfast and lunch pretty low-key there are grocery stores within 10 minutes of the campground. Dinner is served as part of the trip as well as lunch on Saturday I believe. They'll be so much saddle gear to keep you interested you'll probably forget to eat anyway.

Don’t over complicate it. Just your normal hunting gear and a place to sleep is really all you need. I would skip the fishing gear honestly unless you don’t plan to hunt. I took my stuff and bought the pass to fish last year and didn’t go at all lol. So much to do and people to talk to there wasn’t time to use it lol.

haha! I wouldn't want to offend. I think I'll bring along my .22 small game and my .308 for hogs. I'll figure out the flying issues, I'd rather have my stuff for hunting. Then I can buy an ice chest, the rest can be packed and travelled with easy.

Thanks for the tip. I am thinking when I camp I fill up my truck but you gotta a good point. I really just need a place a stuff to sleep.

Make sure you get signed up. As of now there's almost 40 people signed up. I know of about 15-20 more who are attending but haven't put their name down yet. I'm capping it at 100 because let's face it...I'm a Soldier, not a party planner or an event coordinator. I don't know what in the world I'm doing...just wing it like everything else :)
Unfortunately due to work I will not know if I'm able to attend this year until the last minute. If I can swing it I will have 3 extra firearms available.

Guys whom haven't attended before. It's worth just showing up and not even hunting. I basically just hung out at camp with @Big Country and @denots all weekend once I realized that G2 lied about there being hogs around. LoL.

Had a blast just relaxing and listening to Ernie Huck G2 etc stories.

I wish you’d make it. It was fun locking you in the back of your own truck last year. @denots told me to do it.
