A couple northern Ohio boys here looking to get out of the February cabin fever phase. What's the average temp range there in mid February?
I'm not from there, but I think its gonna average from lows in the upper 40s to highs in the low 60s from what I can find via a few searches.

Wow - lots happening with SaddlePalooza. If you haven't signed up DO IT!!!! The link is on the first page of this thread right at the top.

This year is going to be out.of.control.

There will be an awesome camp fire.
The food will be amazing.
There will be plenty of adult beverages (if that's your thing, but don't worry no one over does it...it's a 100% family event)
I'm going to hunt this year, so there will be at least 1 pig killed :)
The Saddle Hunter chatter...yeah, you can't duplicate that anywhere else on the planet.
The Saddle gear demo...yeah, there's no other place on earth where you can get first hand experience from experts

Just sign up already!!!!

Hey all! First post.

I’m all booked up for saddlepalooza, super excited.

Quick story, so this year I decided to go all out on researching a “lightweight” mobile hunting setup. So I wound up with a lone wolf assault + sticks + upgraded seat and stealth strips. Add my gear to the stand and 30+ lbs later it was still NOT a lightweight public land setup.

Very frustrated with my setup after a morning hunt I walked back to the parking lot (sweating my ass off) and see a guy wearing a saddle hunter sweatshirt. I had previously watched pretty much every @g2outdoors YouTube video and so I knew what saddle hunting was but figured it wasn’t for me (after all lone wolf is supposed to be the ultimate mobile setup right??).

So turns out it’s @redsquirrel and he lets me test out his saddle in the parking lot, the whole setup fit in my hand. I was convinced right then and there.

Thanks @redsquirrel and can’t wait to try out some saddle setups and learn more from this awesome community!

You just cut 20lbs off your setup in an instant. You'll spend the rest of your hunting career tinkering and trying to cut a few more ounces, haha. See you in February!

Any body else in Florida going. I'm in central Florida hoping to find someone else to share the ride with. I'll provide the vehicle.

I’m only 3 hours away. Not really interested in Hog Hunting but would like to be around to see the demos and different styles, techniques of the other saddles hunters out there. When does the demos, etc take place? Do I need a so called ticket to attend this part? Thx

Edit..... I see the demos are on Saturday. What time would that be taking place?

Glad you signed up! It's a small world. Don't hesitate to ask anything you need to keep you on your saddle journey. I'll be coming back out your way at some point so we'll have to meet up again :)

They'll. Probably start after lunch (when we do the raffle) and go for awhile. I'd say show up at 11, eat lunch with us ($10 includes everything), then stick around and climb trees for a bit.

Anybody interested in hunting and fishing fort stewart other than just saddlepalooza? Plan to make several trips thru out the year. Deer, turkey, pigs, coyote, bobcats, etc...

You most definitely should have PM permission now with 90 posts. It is called "start a conversation", if that is not working then maybe @redsquirrel can chime in!
