My buddy and I stalked an archery section and got within bow range on two groups of hogs - but got busted drawing on both of them. First group we had at 40 then 30 and they were coming closer and we let them get too close. My buddy had forgotten his release on the second set so we had to switch positions at 20 yards and as soon as I drew they were off. Almost got a second chance at that group. We were into sign pretty quick. Was fun. But honestly the hunting is just filler time between hanging out with the guys talking gear and drinking beer.

Don’t over complicate it. Just your normal hunting gear and a place to sleep is really all you need. I would skip the fishing gear honestly unless you don’t plan to hunt. I took my stuff and bought the pass to fish last year and didn’t go at all lol. So much to do and people to talk to there wasn’t time to use it lol.

Guys whom haven't attended before. It's worth just showing up and not even hunting. I basically just hung out at camp with @Big Country and @denots all weekend once I realized that G2 lied about there being hogs around. LoL.

Had a blast just relaxing and listening to Ernie Huck G2 etc stories.

And you guys still had beer left in my cooler when we left. It was an ambitious plan - which reminds me. Anyone driving bring extra coolers for those that fly in - easy way to get free beer

A couple northern Ohio boys here looking to get out of the February cabin fever phase. What's the average temp range there in mid February?
