Well this sucks I missed Sikapalooza by a week and I get off the 15th of January so in theory I should go back on the 12 th of February.
But contract is up here in Israel boat could be in transit to States.
Not going to happen not that lucky.

Geez:rolleyes:!!! That sux Bongo. Was looking forward to see you again bud. Perhaps something will change.

I noticed there are several guys bringing campers or DIY campers made from utility trailers. I'm sure this goes without saying but I would check with the campground to make sure you don't have to park those in the RV camping section. The guy who ran the place last year was kind of a jerk. And I know I read somewhere that generators are not allowed in hollowbrook. So if you use a generator to power your trailer or heat it you I'm pretty sure won't be allowed to use those

No generators is a Godsend. One of the WMA’s I hunt has a primitive site that is a single open field and we hang our hammocks in the wood line. A few years ago the generators started showing up. Awful. We relocated to a boat ramp to camp.

The next year the generators were part of the “orientation”. Cut em off by 2200. Even then it’s miserable listening to them.

Wait till you hear the West Virginia hillbilly's snoring. If you don't believe me ask @huck72412.

And just to let everybody know @Deltahuntr and myself will be cooking jambalaya and white beans Saturday for everybody. So some of you Yanks are in for a treat.

You just lucked out that you don’t have to cornhole on TV or something.
Yep I’m missing out but it is what it is.

I would contact the campground. I don't know that they'll say anything about utility trailers being parked in that area but they may. I hate to see you trying to make those arrangements last minute. Honestly they seem to have plenty of RV spots open, but like I said the guy running the place didn't seem like he was the easiest to deal with. He actually told me I couldn't set up my tent where I was putting it only to find out I was putting it exactly where I was supposed to.

I went to the campgrounds website and called them about 2 weeks ago. According to the website and the person I talked to on the phone, general civilians are only allowed to camp in the primitive section with an isportsman account. To camp in the RV section you must be military or DoD civilian contractor.

I would talk to @g2outdoors about this directly. That information I believe is false. I'm telling you the guy that runs this place told me I wasn't allowed to camp in the area I was setting my tent up in and it was the exact area I was supposed to be in. I don't think the guy listens very well. At least that was my experience with him. And I don't even think you need a iSportsman's account to be in the campground. Only to go outside of the campground whether that be hunting fishing or just hiking(I could be mistaken about this). But if I'm remembering correctly that's what Greg told me last year. I do know last year I setup my isportsman account and I never once logged into it. Maybe Greg will chime in here and clarify some of this.

Greg is working on it clearing it up for sure. I forgot to mention that before. I emailed him about it the other day and he is working on it. I have an enclosed trailer and no power is fine with me.

Well I have all the bases covered, 8' tear drop camper (pictured above), tent and or a hammock. Not sure what I'll bring yet. Tear drop is definitely the best option but will cost a little extra in fuel to tow it up there. Also don't want to be too far from the activities and camaraderie. If the weather is going to be nice tent and hammock would be the easiest way to go.
Any chance anyone else is coming from Florida??? Chime in..

Buddy and I are going up from north of Gainesville area. Gonna use a tent as I did last year.

Cool a few more Florida hunters. I'm leaning towards bringing my tent and hammock. Tear-drop is really nice but more cumbersome. Maybe Big Country can give me some ideas about where to look for the hogs up there. This will be my 1st trip to Fort Stewart. Been studying the maps but there not that much help. I've downloaded the App G-2 mentioned but looks like there are several different maps for Fort Stewart , not sure which one to buy.
