Just paid. New to Saddle Hunting and really looking forward to this event. Hope the hogs are moving around. Already have my Georgia license as I have a lease in south Georgia. Debating on bringing a Kayak to hunt from.

MY HUNTING CABIN.

This has been on page two long enough. How many of you are bringing the hammocks to camp in and what temp is it at night? Need to know what under quilt to bring.

Temps in the South swing anywheres from in the thirties to in the 70s in the south. I would strongly suggest checking the weather forecast the week before

I noticed there are several guys bringing campers or DIY campers made from utility trailers. I'm sure this goes without saying but I would check with the campground to make sure you don't have to park those in the RV camping section. The guy who ran the place last year was kind of a jerk. And I know I read somewhere that generators are not allowed in hollowbrook. So if you use a generator to power your trailer or heat it you I'm pretty sure won't be allowed to use those

Got a question. Is the area where we will be having the demos on base or off base ?

It's on the "base" property but you don't have a gate to go through so it's pretty easy. I didn't realize the no generator thing, that was my plan if I got permission.

The camp host was alright last year, lady was nice husband was a jerk, but we came in late and someone was in our spot. I guess the office was a little unorganized.

I would consider staying in the rv section it might be cheaper if you have a full crew but it is farther away from the main campsite.

Thanks. Sounds like it will be easy in and easy out. Planning on just coming Saturday morning and staying for the "day". Hoping to meet my "other" family and enjoy the comradery. Can't wait.

Well this sucks I missed Sikapalooza by a week and I get off the 15th of January so in theory I should go back on the 12 th of February.
But contract is up here in Israel boat could be in transit to States.
Not going to happen not that lucky.
Have fun I’m very jealous and butthurt.

I'm one of the guys with an 18' cargo trailer. Do we need to make different arrangements?

I would contact the campground. I don't know that they'll say anything about utility trailers being parked in that area but they may. I hate to see you trying to make those arrangements last minute. Honestly they seem to have plenty of RV spots open, but like I said the guy running the place didn't seem like he was the easiest to deal with. He actually told me I couldn't set up my tent where I was putting it only to find out I was putting it exactly where I was supposed to.

If it's in the 30's-40's that will be considered pretty harsh weather down here.

Yeah, thats flip flop weather. I'll probably bring my summer gear regardless.
