Oh boy look out! Considering all you've done with that 4452 I am really looking forward to some "real" thread injecting now. What you got planned?

I know a good surgeon in Russia if you’re interested in having a lighter foot installed

I misread the first message leading to my tangent on presser feet, which made your comment that much more confusing.... then it clicked. I'm slow on the uptake this evening :tearsofjoy:

You can buy a brand new Singer 4432 or 4452 for around 200 bucks. I do not kknow much about sewing but was told both those machines will do everything I need for sewing webbing and heavier materials like canvas and such. I just bought the 4432 for $180 bucks with an extended warranty it was 200 bucks total shipped! Shawn

Anything here look promising?
I have no idea what to really look for.
Thanks

I have a Necchi Supernova and it is built like a tank. The only down side is the presser foot lift is only 1/4 inch. It is very strong.
It is a high shank machine so industrial feet fit it. It is one of the last machines I would get rid of.

Juki LU-562/563 or similar
$650
Waterford, MI

Rex RX-607 (Sailrite clone)
$200
Greenbrier, AR

Juki 1541 (multiple)
$1000/per + discount
North Little Rock, AR

If someone is starting a saddle or saddle accessory business, this might be worth scoping out.

Tacsew T111-155
$350
Greenville, IL

Chandler TDU-N62 (Nakajima / Rex 26-188)
$200
Taylorville, IL

This would be a really nice machine to get started with, at an affordable price.

Pfaff 545 H4

I was considering this but don’t need a second machine with the same capabilities as what I have right now. Seller is very motivated.

I changed my mind and I’m going to look at this one today. If it’s in good shape it’ll be coming home with me.

Glad to hear you came to your senses

Don’t know if I’ll ever come to my senses. Lol. Asked about that machine and the price on vintage industrial sewing machine Facebook group and everyone said they wouldn’t think twice at that price. Hard to argue with the comments I got there.

I was thinking of driving up there today but then thought better of it. My wife is already a little upset about everything I'm buying for my elk hunt. That might have to be an expense for next year.

Glad you didn’t. Lol. Machine runs great. Table is rough. It’s the most controllable clutch motor I’ve used. I’ll still add a servo with a needle positioner though.

FYI. This integrated motor may be of interest to you for your Juki. Then you could swap your current servo to the Pfaff.

Thanks. That definitely looks like an option I’d consider. I’ll look into it some more before ordering a servo for the pfaff. Just playing around with the pfaff and the high lift option definitely climbs over and down off of large changes in thickness better than the juki.

I'll post my impressions to the thread once it arrives, so no one here is going in blind.

I wouldn't mind having a newer Pfaff or Adler with that high lift option....
