Sewing Machine Deals for the DIY Guys

I only just saw this thread from the main menu and I know in dropping in without using the search bar, but what’s like the minimum grade or model sewing machine I could consider for getting into sewing the types of stuff that we would want to make us hunters?

Juki LU-562, $500, Hopewell Junction, NY

Lots of good info on this thread. Worth a read.

You could go vintage domestic, e.g., Singer 15-91, in a pinch. That said, a true industrial triple feed machine, is the proper machine for saddles and outdoor gear.

I would look for used Juki 562, Juki 563 (or clones). Consew 226, consew 206RB (any version). Watch Facebook marketplace and Craig’s list. Look at at least $500 up to about $900. Or you could go expensive and get a brand new Juki 1541, Juki 1508, consew 206RB-5, Seiko sth-8bld-3.

Consew 226-R1, $350, Fort Plain, NY

Singer 211U566A, $125, Mohegan Lake, NY

Juki LU-563, $300, Mercersberg, PA.

Looks to be in good condition. This is an awesome price for a great machine. Recently listed. Grab it before someone else does.
