Hey guys, I am absolutely new to the sewing game. I will definitely utilize past threads with information in them to help me start and get past the learning curve.
My main question is, will a Bernina Aurora 440 QE be sufficient in what I need?
The sewing machine was my grandmothers and she loved to quilt and such. I know that it can do well with designs and artsy stuff. But I did not know if it would be robust enough for the needs of saddle making and modifications.
With my current mantis, I want to add the comfort channels to it. I have one inch tubular webbing that I would Add small plastic balls inside and sew them separate. Then I would sew the whole piece of tubular webbing with the Plastic balls inside completely onto the bridge loops. Would that sewing machine, with the correct thread and needle, be able to go through and sew on the tubular webbing to the already thick bridge loop webbing on the mantis?
Thank you for your input and advice. I am looking forward to getting it started and start sewing. And making my equipment even better. Thanks guys.
