You take health for granted till yours is on the blink. Don’t push it just let it happen. Hope it’s better soon.
If you can’t handle it call Bowhunter 15 up. I still haven’t seen the video. I heard Red has it.

Yup. Life is just busy

so its $300 off the bat? $175 in fees/ lic/permits and $120 for the hunt? just getting my number together
$300 for flights 2 bags included

Yeah unfortunately MD doesn't have a 3 day license for big game, only waterfowl and small game. I'm really trying to keep the cost down because I want everyone to be able to come.

I was originally planning on VA but the license in VA was even more expensive. In VA they nickel and dime you by separating everything.

@donnieballgame is the campground hammock friendly? Can you give me some more information on the campground? Name? If I know which one it is I can do some more research myself. Thank you in advance, sir. Sorry if I missed this in the previous post.

Yes def hammock friendly, we have a little section back in the woods, I don't think it will be a problem.

I might take you up on the boat offer, I was looking at buying and then selling one, not a lot of rental options.

I've been wanting to make a few videos but I'm waiting til I'm healthy before I start climbing trees again. Not sure I can compete with you on the hand climber, I'll try and do some practicing this summer when I'm healthy.

I plan on bring my Jon up. Going to bring it home tomorrow and fire up the engine and run some new lights on the trailer. Had someone pull a brand new set of lights off the trailer.

Also this sounds pretty awesome. Not sure if I can make it or not yet but it’s always been a dream of mine. Followed the saddlepalooza and was so jealous I wasn’t there but this is a lot closer.

Man I’m out 2 days and a whole new trip pops up. Damn I remember us talking about doing this Donnie - but I have something going on that will likely keep me out - wife and I already scrapped a Napa trip in that same month. Crap.

Oh man that's a bummer, as long as you don't miss the whole rut, lol.

Man that sounds awesome. I have an outdoor writers conference that weekend or I would be there. If you want to up the price significantly I could probably get y’all in next door here ;)https://tudorfarms.younglife.org/Pages/default.aspx

That whole area is pretty stunning and hunting sika deer was quite an experience. The first evening I sat I felt like I was in Narnia because there was snow on the ground then all of the sudden these little elk started bouncing out of the woods

That does look like a really sweet place to stay, but I really want to keep the cost down as low as possible. I'm really looking forward to being in the marsh and hearing all those Sika deer bugling!!!

Quick Update!

Just spoke with Allen Johnston the BWR Hunt Coordinator and it looks like I will be able to pick up permits for everyone so if you are coming in late Thursday I can get your permit so you don’t waste Friday morning getting your permit. Otherwise, you could hunt your first moring down in Fishing Bay and get your permit for the BWR in the afternoon.

Also got some more info on using Boats, apparently BWR doesn’t really have a ramp that you can put in a boat off of a trailer. You have to hand carry them to put them into the water, no idea how far that carry is. I think we can still use boats down at Fishing Bay, but I will have to confirm with their manager.

Allen also said there is a lot of access by foot, which I took to mean trails. He asked or mentioned several times if I was in good shape, lol. So looks like we could be doing a lot of walking.

He also said they got like 400 out of just BWR last year, he was pretty confident that we would be seeing Sika deer as he felt like they had a very healthy herd!

Yeah I was mainly kidding as it is pretty pricey to get on. I was invited on a duck/sika Hunt there a couple years ago. It was so cool to hear those animals

Ok so from what I read bicycles are ok. It looks like 2 of the rivers in BWR are closed off to boat traffic after Oct 1 which I am sure is am Waterfowl thing.

I am think the best options are canoes and kayaks for access.
