single sticking tricks to lessen tether slack and/or use a linemans?

Thanks....but a bit of a drive from the center of NYS. Lol
@Gbk68, I am in Rochester and one stick climbed using a combination stick/platform this year, which is also my first year saddle hunting. I have used a climber as well as sticks and a hang on. This method to me is easier and safer and doesn't limit the type of tree I can get into. I would be happy to meet up and let you try it out for youself. Might give you a better understanding. Not trying to sell you on it. Maybe I will learn from you as well.

too late....I’m now sold. I’ve just done a ton of research on the subject. I finally saw some videos of people who do it easily...and without using complicated methods.
I have an RC harness And a ropeman 1 already. I also have a 4step Metolius aider on one of my muddy sticks. I did a test climb today...and def can see the advantages of one-sticking. My current tree tether is much too thick(prob 11-22mm)....so it’s a bit cumbersome, but it worked.
I’m now compiling a list of possible items to buy to make a system. probably Canyon 9mm rope and a madrock safeguard. Still researching figure eights and auto blocks.

Yup. If I can’t find a “used” Ultimate One Stick....I’ll buy from EWO. Once I make a final decision about which rappell device to use....I’ll chose which rope to get...and so on
