Slings and MORE from Treehopper

Interested in how the belt fits on a small individual like myself. I have an Anderson and the belt is essentially the same as how this one is set up...and here's the issue I am having. Just as you stated, the belt will tighten everything you sit in, but to the point it's uncomfortable. Only when I unattach the belt does the sling open up to it's "natural" position and relieve the pressure created by the belt. Almost as if the sling is too long and wraps around my hips too far. Are the TH slings based on the same size as the Anderson?View attachment 21970
Tightening the belt is really only for when you wear it walking or climbing. Once tethered, you don't need, or even want it tightened. You are correct...you want the sling to pull in its natural position. A tight belt (when tethered) pinches the sides in and if left that way, could cause hip pinch, but if you loosen it when tetherd there is no hip pressure.

@Allegheny Tom , do you know if Marks TH sling is the same size as the old Anderson?
Yes. Those dimensions were proven.
This sling does a few things the Anderson didnt do...
Linemans loops.
Molly loops.
Leg straps.
Adjustable bridge.
Doesnt need modified like an Anderson.
And you can actually buy one of these. Used Andersons are hard to find and often cost $150...and it still needs modified.

In case any of you missed it...
The slings will have two choices of bridges.
You can get it with a webbing bridge or you can get it with an Amsteel bridge.
That question was just asked.
I thought I would mention the choices again.

Mr. Tom,

will treehopper be at the harrisburg show? if so, will these products be available to test/look at/purchase? i'd like to hang from one of these and see how it compares to a saddle. i'd also like to look closer at those ring of steps.

He is going. I assume he will have products there. I can't make promises for him as to which products (and the quantity of them) that he will have. I would be very surprised if he didn't have at least some of each to see and try out.

I just ordered one. I did it communicating through email with Mark, as I work nights. This looks like just what I am looking for.

MY modded anderson was one of the most comfortable FINICK FREE saddles I"ve sat in yet. IT jsut hugs your body and stays put. you could pull up the second section as a lower back support, and it JUST STAYED PUT. Sold mine when I needed some cash for a Christmas present for my son and had too many saddles--should have kept it and sold a different one. Really psyched to see Treehopper doing this.
It's in good hands!

My daughter seems to be showing an interest in hunting and I think I may get one of these to play with. Tom do you think with the original Anderson style belt it will get small enough to fit a 9 year old girl?

I have my doubts but there might be a way to modify it to fit her, I really can't take a guess.
I have coaxed Mark to make a youth size.
