Beautiful!!! Which tree bracket is that?

We need to get out and do some testing on these now. Ordered a rock climbing harness and tether so I can at least get out and practice while I wait for my other goodies to come in. I'll have them by Saturday so hopefully Sunday afternoon I can do some more testing and shooting from my platform and report back.

They’re big game brackets they are like Muddys but have more meat in them.

I drilled out the platform and post so I could use a shoulder bolt. The bolt disappeared in to the platform. I reckon that’s the way it would be on the scooter. Sure swings easy.
I need to find a soft shackle strap like a lone wolf

How many inches down from the top are you guys drilling the hole for the platform bolt on a 9" tube?

I just made mine so the platform ended up at the center of the tube when deployed and then marked the location for the hole.

I used the og post from the tree seat . I og hole thst was already drilled for th 5/16 bolt . The bolt is 2 3/4 "" from the ottom of the post . The post is 9 3/4 " inches long . The versa button is 3 3/4 inches from the too of the post . Now the fun part . Our designs differ significantly and measurements are probably not interchangable between them because of the obvious . One cams on to lock and mine is ratcheted in place and the cleats are locked on that way . I think both have merit. DanO has a very , very nice setup and I can't stop thinking about those billet posts. Sweet

Thanks, I found where diy spotsman got his materials for his climbing sticks, onlinemetals.com. I was able to get a 12 inch 6061aluminum 1-1/4 square post and shipping for about $11

Nice! Is there an adjustment bolt on that? And if so how does it line up with the steel wear insert?

My platform finally shipped so should have it soon. I did get the post built, cut the tubing down to 9", riveted a piece of steel where the platform screw will hit and attached the XOP brackets and gave it a quick rattle can camo job.
