This is terrible! Y'all have been a bad influence on me. I have a sitdrag RC harness setup now. I am now looking forward to seeing the new system and working on getting a Guido's Web.

The irony of the situation is that I started with the Sitdrag and RC harness so I would not spend "a lot" of money.

I also got a sit drag to get started cheaply. I still like it. It starts cheap then you buy some nice carabiners and rope. Then that Amsteel looks good so you buy some of it. Then that ropeman 1 looks cool so you get it. Then get some rappelling gear. Of course the platform looks like it would make saddle hunting awesome. Got to have one of those. A few hundred dollars later and your loving your 28 dollar sit drag. And then all Of a sudden there's a new aero coming out that weighs around 2lbs. Probably going to have to have one of those also.

When justifying the costs to your wife, always lead with how "this is a safety item", sure to include a "safety" comparison to a sit drag, and if all else fails, conclude with how much money you are "saving", by not buying (whatever) and make sure that other item is much more expensive.

My wife says "Sit on the ground". That's safer and cheaper

You are more likely to be shot by another hunter when on the ground (Cheney). Deer hunters don't usually shoot deer out of trees. When those pesky deer start climbing trees, these saddles will be worthless.

LOL, this is great, I agree, but you will need a climbing system regardless and platform and that is where I've spent most of my money and another $$$(because I don't know how much the New New Tribe will cost) it is hard for me to justify. Although I am secretly hoping that I can get through this year with the SitDrag, assuming I don't need any big things next year, spurs, climbing sticks etc, I then I can get a fancy saddle, lol.

Well the EVO is $320. They aren't LIKELY to raise the price (hint Boswell!!) and I think they were simplifying and trying to keep the price down. Their arborist saddles are about $500 and their recreationals are $150-$250
