Sold Out Sticks

I’m interested in the idea of building some myself. The double step is something I find as a must because i don’t have a platform so I’ll probably use the top of the stick along with a few steps.

The only issue i have with that is i need to have a climbing system by 1/16/19 for a hunt I’m going on which is on public land. The fact that i can’t buy any muddy pros, helium’s, etc with double steps kind of puts me in a bind.

Buy the LW sticks and use as is for your hunt. Either modify them after or sell them at a small loss to get what you really want later. I have several LW sticks. Maybe 12 and really like them. Stealth stripped 3 and put double steps on top of those 3. Really like them. If you have few options than do what you need to for your hunt and figure things out when you have time. Good luck.

I like my lonewolf sticks too used them for years. I also like Hawk helium sticks and Wildedge steps.

Yeah that might be the best course of action. I’d try stores around my area but I’m 90% sure they don’t have anything worth buying.

Only other options are to either buy a steel (cheap yet heavy) set for that weekend or build a set by that date.

You may have to do some old-fashioned, in-person leg work to find sticks this late in the year. I've seen several stores that still have muddies, hemiums, and/or API sticks.

Not sure what area you’re from but i might swing by my local Bass Pro and take a gander. Unfortunately it’s a pretty small one that is pretty heavily fishing biased but worth a shot. What stores were you finding them in? Chain stores or locals?

In my experience cabelas and bass pro no longer keep much on the floor. They have a book you thumb thru and ask if they have it in stock. Dumb and a pain. They didn't even have heliums in the book, but it's on their site.

Yeah their site doesn’t have them listed any longer and I can’t find them anywhere else online. They look like a good stick and all I’ve read on them is positive.

Maybe hit craigslist for local sales. Shipping sticks probably is costly. I have 4 lw that never get used, I'd buy heliums in a heartbeat if I could find them. I mod the heliums.

Nothing local on CL. 4 LW sticks on amazon with free 2 day shipping is $185. Quite the investment to make before buying stuff and modding them to my liking. They have the guide gear steel sticks on amazon for $30 but they weigh in around 7 or 8 lbs a piece

Did you check out DanO’s site to see if he has steps and standoffs available? If he has them it won’t take but a few hours to build and paint the sticks once you get the components.

Yup it appears both are good to order and will ship after Christmas (understandable). I’m still debating on build vs modify LWs. I’m about to part out a build list and see my investment both ways.

Update from Beast Gear for those interested:
"We are currently in production for our next run of Beast Climbing Sticks. We anticipate more sticks being available in the Spring of 2019."

I have lone wolf sticks and when I wasn’t in a climber I’d use them This year I bought the WE Stepps and after a learning curve and a tethrd platform I have’nt used the sticks at all. I will incorporate them next year into saddle hunting. But. Lone wolfs good solid light stick just put a two step on the top of one and use that to set your platform.

I like the LW. Light and solid but the steps are fairly close and probably could have been spaced a bit more. I've thought about cutting them and re-drilling to go from 3 steps per to two but for all that i'd be better off buying new beast sticks.

Any word on beast sticks new production? I saw pic1 where you said spring maybe?
