Splurged on an elite omnia today

@thedutchtouch
I'm just now reading your post. I wanted to say congratulations on your Elite purchase and welcome to the addiction! :cool:

Elite has their "shootability challenge" and they sold me on it as soon as I shot one. I have the Elite Ritual 30 and have won some 3D shoots with it and killed a couple of deer with it too. :) Using a heavy arrow setup, this bow is a shooting machine with deadly accuracy. I'm extremely impressed with the precision accuracy that I can get out of this bow, compared to all the others that I've shot over the last 47 years. :cool:

Thanks, forgot about this thread, never updated it with a completed build photo lol so I'll try to take one when I get home tomorrow.

This bow is definitely shootable. It's so much easier to hold at full draw than my old bear bow, I suppose it's a few lbs more letoff but just makes everything feel smoother. Out of all the bows I shot when testing, this one felt the best to hold and release which is why I picked it. The bowtech felt slightly better during draw cycle, I may try out the smooth cams at some point. The pullback weight I am still getting used to, gave myself a bit of archers elbow/tendonitis so I took almost a month off of shooting it, but I think I'll still be able to use it come September. (I was thinking of using my HC mini instead, but drawing that back to cock it used the same muscles so, we'll see.)

I bought into the heavy arrow thing a bit and am now building a new set of arrows with 100 gr inserts, planning on continuing to use my 125gr QAD exodus heads for now, though the itch to try some single bevels is waiting to be scratched as well.

Some really nice single bevels on the classifieds the last time I looked.

@thedutchtouch
My arrow setup: Gold Tip Hunter XT 300, at 27" with 3" feathers, 100 gr. brass insert, 150 gr. field tip with a 525 TAW and 22% FOC.
My bow setup: 57# @ 29" DL. QAD rest, Trophy Ridge React single pin sight and a Tru-Ball Scout wrist release.
Broadheads have been a Grizzly (left bevel to match my left helical fletching) 150 gr. and a Magnus Buzzcut 4 blade 125 gr. with an added internal shaft weight of 20 grains.
Killed a doe with the single bevel and a buck (3 days later) with the Buzzcut.
Complete pass thru on both and they ran 35ish yards and tipped over. :cool:

I'm setting up very similar arrows, gt hunter xt's, but with a ss GT insert, and hoping the 250s I am building won't be over-spined at 29 inches with a 125 gr head. My hope is these 125 gr heads shoot well for now and then will figure out a single bevel head between 125 and 200 that shoots well on them.

Yes they are and I'll tell you another company that's sneaking into the mainstream picture....Darton. :) I'm seeing more and more Darton bows, in the local 3D competitions. In years past, Darton hasn't had the marketing budget to keep up with Hoyt, Mathews and a few others.
I may have to put my hands on a few models, to see how the compare to the Elite line of bows. :cool:

I have some brand new single right bevel Iron Wills 200 grain Id cut you a good deal on

Trophy Ridge React sight, single pin. :)
Going to a single pin sight was one of the best decisions that I've made. It helps improve concentration, while shooting. :cool:
I'm using my ez-v for now. But plan to try out a two pin slider, I've got an itch to shoot some long range/TAC at some point soon.
