Steppladder Platform Prototype

I made 4 of them for presets for my wife. They work great as long as you use the correct plywood thickness, cut them to the correct size and shape, and utilize the grain properly. No issues at all for me.

Mine is still in great shape sitting in my garage after one season of use and one season on backup duty.

That was a fun little spurt of creativity for everyone. It’s hard for me to believe people are spending hundreds of dollars on a “perch”. I do love my piece of scrap plywood.

Woof...they getcha with the 12 dollar shipping tho. Thats 40% of the price for 6 steps. I guess its heavy and bulky but dang.

Or 9 bucks shipping for 1 step lol. I guess thats still a super cheap platform though

If you wait a little longer, Sportsman Guide usually sells them on Amazon with free shipping, if I remember correctly.

Are people using hardwood plywood or pine? Pine is way cheaper but I like the strength of the oak.

They really are hard to beat for the price. If a fella were looking to save a buck, I think this is really the climbing method to use. $40-60 of these will get you up a tree.

Im not in to savin bucks. Maybe just the heads...

Here is mine. Having an extra piece of plywood to deal with was not fun.
