Stix ...the most dangerous climbing method

We recycled the diaper idea. They recycle the high chair.
That’s on par.
My wife informed me that the double zipper I was so excited about on my Sitka pants(to allow me to pee on my rappel rope and have to wash it incorrectly) was also stolen from baby sleep sacks.
Not sure if I should be concerned about the source of innovation.

Dude my babies are way too safe. I used to ride in the front seat of a Buick Roadmaster with an adult seatbelt as a 2YO. Maybe younger.
Now my ropes and clips and harnesses are nothing compared to the shock absorption and injury prevention powers of a Graco Poop-n-Ride car seat.

My opinion is climbing stands done right are safer than sticks. JRB and the NY guys have my attention, going to give rope methods a try next year. I do wonder if a cobra weave all around the top of my One sticks make them opening up my inner thigh or other soft tissue a little less likely.
NY system which eventually turned into JRB is the entire reason I felt saddles were safer than my climber and made me get into saddle hunting to begin with.

We fought over who got to lay across the back dash!!!!

Well… that’s not a very good statistic.

Most people use ladder stand or sticks.

You would need percentages to get a more accurate representation. Number of incidents using a climbing method/Number of users using that climbing method and that’s still not gonna be accurate. Number of climbs needs to be taken into account.

Are you a politician? Cuz that’s the kinda of manipulated statistics they use.
Exactly. Also worth noting that more than most likely people that are new to mobile hunting will start with sticks. So you have the highest percentage of inexperienced people using this method. That alone would drastically skew the % of accident stats.

I’m getting increasingly intrigued by how many people are repelling round these prts, and asking keyboard cowboys for how to do it.

I would have sided with you a year ago. Now, it seems like the new cool kid move is to SRT 2TC auto lock repel figger 8 it on down

I am batman. Learnt from youtube and a tree in the neighbors yard. You know for liability purposes. ;)

Seriously. With all the little Debbie snacks we eat, is falling because error really the concern? We are just gonna have a heart attack on the climb up.
That’s the poll that’s needs done. We’re all acting like athletes but half of us get winded walking up a flight of stairs. What’s the actual average height/weight of a saddle hunter? We’ll add 15 pounds and drop an inch of height for each stated entry with no confirming picture. Lol

Seems to me everything involved in this activity is somewhat dangerous if done incorrectly, bout the same for everything else in life that’s fun too.
I use sticks to climb, and I don’t use the leg straps on my saddle! We all make decisions about what is an acceptable risk to us individually. If you’re worried about sticks use something else.

I remember riding in the back of trucks in high school. Felt like I was getting promoted to cool kid status once I was allow to sit inside the truck!
