Suggested WMA to hunt hogs in South Carolina

My friend and I are considering not to go to GA this year to hog hunt and try something a little closer. We are coming from Maryland and ideally, we would like to hunt WMA’s either in the northern half or central part of South Carolina. Probably won’t occur till mid-February and by the looks of SC’s regulations, we will probably be using small game weapons.

Anyone have some suggested WMAs I can start researching?

Manchester state forest is pretty good for pigs. Bring a portable boat in case its flooded and find the high ground. The coast is loaded with pigs but Im not sure about the public land down there.

Just remember that hogs don't stand still too long unless baited. If you get a decent shot, take it.
Also, the only truly 'fresh' hog sign - has a pig standing in it. Other sign that appears to be 'fresh' may not have a hog within a 1/4 mile of it.

According to this article Anderson county, next door to Greenville had the highest pig harvest per square mile in the state in 2019. I would look for something there!

We‘ve got pigs on public in and around Clemson. About 30 min from Greenville. However, you are regulated to use what ever weapon goes with the open season which would be small game weapons right now.
