I have 3 New Tribe saddles the Basic, Onyx and Tengu. I did some mods to the Tengu attachment point( no bridge on this saddle) I used a set of older style Tengu leg pads that have a stitched central connection rather than the metal one it came with. I joined waistband and legs together with a Petzl ring open and have a small aluminium ring on it to orient everything nicely. With a 8mm yanyard it is a pretty light outfit and comfort is such a guy could stay comfortable for a considerable amount of time but paired with the Drey it is the most comfortable for me that I have found. I can use any method to ascend and have extreme comfort and adjustability at the top. The added padding in legs and waist are no way a detriment but actually add comfort with the Drey. No need for an adjustable bridge because the bridge on the Drey allows any lateral movement and having my bridge and Drey on same tether allows for fine tuning of your weight into the Hammock. I am finding once at height I drop pretty much all my weight into the Drey and enjoy! I have had a Guidos numerous times a JX3 and other saddles but this present combo checks all the boxes. I find it is my go to for other activities such as setting ziplines or trimming the occasional branch.
