Conclusion: The use of the rechargeable cartridges requires much more frequent intrusions into the placement area than the use of disposable Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA's to keep the camera powered and working.
Good data, but for me, given your 51 day data point, seems that the pack would last at least 3 months in the warm (pre-season) and during season (cold) if I haven’t hunted the area where the cam is in 1.5 months I prolly need to move it anyway. Honestly coming from card cams, three months seems like an eternity! Not to mention that if I leave a cam in one spot for three months on public it’s prolly going to get stolen anyway. That’s just me though. Good data points, be interesting to see how long it goes before it dies. Thanks for that in-depth writeup, Can’t wait to see the final data.

I put a reveal solar pack on one of my reveal X’s the first week it registered fine at 100% then started to drop until it got down to 30% and seemed to stay at that level for about a week. This weekend I pulled three of my cams to recharge the lithium cartridges and dry out the battery compartments on two of them. One was the solar pack and pulled that as well to recharge. Put it back up Sunday after a full night and most importantly of the morning of charging and reinstalled it but in a new location. So far it’s still reading 100% whereas the other two cams with just the reveal lithium cartridges are already at 90%. I recharged those all night and the next morning as well. Hopefully by me repositioning the solar pack it will stay charging well. I’ve watched a few reviews on the reveal solar pack and if set up properly and is being exposed to sunlight adequately most reviews are favorable. One guy had his all throughout last season and it stayed at 100% for the three months of his season.

I burned through 12 batteries in a week on a cam watching a corn/mineral pile. The lithium’s will last, these were just Duracell high energy something or other. I usually run mine on 12v external now that lithium are so expensive.
In conjunction with what @LoadedLimbs said: I'm running mine over some corn right now. Have them set to send 9am and 9pm. I have no doubt that those batteries can last the whole season. Settings are a major factor. If you're sending every pic it's going to eat them up like crazy.

If you want to be able to request video you have to have the cam set to timely.

That's not true. I have a cam set up right now that sends twice a day and I can request video from it and have requested video from it.
Unless they have changed something this is a direct quote from a support email I have from them:
“On your send type, you will need to change to timely, and settings check to instant. Then your videos should come through.”

Interesting. I got this video without that
