Tacticam Reveal

How are you guys liking the new tag feature and weather info associated with your pictures? I think this will be helpful coupled with OnX's new features utilizing Trail Cam metrics.
Im digging these new features. Cant wait til closer to season to see the barometer fluctuate and see how much the deer activity increases/decreases.

I just started using it but I like it so far. I noticed that when you download a picture you don’t get the additional info at the top of the picture, so you’ll need to go back to the App.

Shame on you for giving that garbage company money but congrats on the new cam!
Yeah, i didnt want to but its the only place that had them instock. walmart has been sold out and bass pro was sold out as well.

Deployed my Pro this past Saturday, with new Rayovac High Energy batteries, and today the cam is reading 50%. Thoughts? I may be able to run a solar panel, but damn these eat batteries faster than the older reveals?

I burned through 12 batteries in a week on a cam watching a corn/mineral pile. The lithium’s will last, these were just Duracell high energy something or other. I usually run mine on 12v external now that lithium are so expensive.

@ RMcDonald7 - Your settings can make a big difference in battery drain. If you don’t need the “settings check” parameter set to “instant”, then toggle it over to “daily”. That will keep the camera from pinging the cell tower constantly to see if you updated your settings in your cell phone app.

Of course, other settings can have a big effect on battery drain:

Image size
Video size
Video length
Multi shot
Flash power
Motion sensitivity
Send type

If you’re getting a lot of useless pics, from blowing branches, squirrels, etc., consider a lower motion sensitivity, or relocation of the camera.
