My surgery got moved to end of November now, they better give me better pain relievers than what Im on cuz I aint gonna make. But on the other hand, im going up in the saddle a lil higher than im supposed to now being I guess its not that important of a surgery to them. Team, I hate to disappoint, but I think I’m hooked on hunting them from the ground. Killed another doe tonight.
I’ve got a Waldrop PAC Seat on order, so I probably won’t even enter next year lol.

No worries brother. You can always try the one stick height hunts like me and SLabzilla been doin. im exclusively hunting 10 ft or so tops. Cant see through the under brush otherwise.
 
Kinda had some comfort issues in the saddle last night. Managed 2 stix b4 saying high enough. Shot a good 8pt but I think bolt hit shoulder deflected into brisket. Xbow in saddle with herniated disk is a struggle. Shouldve just waited or let him go. But 1st buck that was a shooter, my excitement got best of me. Damn it. No blood but found about 12" of the bolt with just a speck of blood. About 10 yrds away was a tiny patch of hair with blood. Nothing rest of way. I figured if I hit lung hed be spraying out him mouth. Il be doing a small search at 11am but not optimistic.

I got the right wind, akerns, fresh scrapes and a great big ol buck rub on a hick’ry tree. Prolly gonna get skunked.
