Rifle season starts tomorrow here in Pa.
I have a buck tag and 3 doe tags and my freezer is full.
I probably won't shoot anything unless is a monster?

I’m flying back to Tennessee tomorrow from a long thanksgiving of no hunts. Excited to get back to some colder weather too.
I whiffed on a nice buck in VA on opening day, very upsetting. I won't be out for the PA opener today but hopefully 1-2 days next week.
Got home a little bit ago.

Well, I may finally get to get in the woods this evening. Our second little boy was born Nov 2nd, so I haven’t had any free time for hunts. We’re getting settled into our new routine a bit so maybe I can slip out for a few hours today. Hopefully I can contribute a few points before season closes!
Fortunately/unfortunately those days are over for me. Spent many days plucking quills from an English pointers nose in western Oklahoma while quail hunting. Used to shoot every one I saw. Hate them with a passion
I shoot about 10 of them suckers a year.
They're all over the place here...
I've shot at least 2 of them that were chewing on MY HOUSE!
Stupid doe sent her fawn out as bait this morning and stayed @ 30 yards while her fawn was 15 yards. Had the trad bow with me. Go figure.

Went today. Seems like I keep seeing the same bucks that I've been passing on for a month. Does stayed outside of bow range. If we could get some real cold weather they'll start hitting my standing soy beans.

Since I already tagged my buck, I've had the same one walk in front of me 3 nites in a row. He's feeling invincible.
If I was good at it I'd never kill any bucks cause I have no restraint when it comes to a fat mature doe. They make it under 25 yards with the trad bow or under 30 with the wheel bow and they're getting an arrow.
I'm a little more selective when I've got a gun as I'd much rather kill with a bow, so much quieter and less intrusive to the property.
