Team 10 Thread

We had a little cool snap...upper 40-mid 50 depending on how close u are to the ocean before the sun's up but hot by the afternoon

Finally made it out for 1st hunt of the year. Slow day so far…did shoot at a coyote. It was walking so not sure if hit or not. I’ll find out after dark.

Very thick in N. Louisiana too. Leaves are falling but not fast enough. Very limited acorns on ground which is surprising:rolleyes:

Found a scrape and slapped a cam on it and this guy has popped up 3 times. For public land here in Tennessee he is NICE!! I sat 40 yards down wind of this scrape today cuz I had a good wind. I just bumped 5 does on my way in but no buck sightings.

Less than 24...tick tock tick tock

This things pretty neat....I got it last year but just now getting around to it. Looks like it's discontinued and remaining are marked up a bunch or I'd post a link....my gun isn't a Magnum so I cut the tubes down and put an ear plug with a tail to grab so there isn't any play/movement/rattle of the pellets/bullet

What kind of mz is that? Don’t recognize it

Well...I spoke too soon. My sons friend is having a birthday and momma can't take him so I sit the morning out and get him to his party and then home at 2:30-3.....if he isn't too tired I'll take him along and we can go walk looking for hogs and I'll get back to deer hunting in the morning...if he's tired which I'm assuming he will be (party is swimming and a bounce house) then I run out for an afternoon sit

Here's a public land story for y'all...I scouted this morning making a big 3 mile loop and didn't see anything to exciting...so I moved over to another spot and here was another guy parked there and he was eating lunch. I chat him up and we make sure we're not interfering with each other. He's in a good spot on pond and I was 600-700yds away on another marsh. There was 8 shots over the course of the day with 3 bring pretty close. I saw a big deer running thru the clear cut behind/downwind of me probably 300-400yds away and I hear all kinds of screaming and yelling. I sit till dark and didn't see anything else. Once I got back to the truck I start putting everything away and the guy parked up the way I talked to earlier comes over. He tells me all about the guy with his wife and 2 kids who were sitting in the wildlife observation blind on the pond. Ask u walk up at any of these observation blind or towers the are signs all over saying no hunting from these blind or towers. The family man shoots from the blind and then he walks up to within 80yds of the guy that I'm talking with. The yelling I heard was between them and the screaming was the kids...he had shot across the pond at that deer I had seen running. If the family man shows up tomorrow he's in trouble with FWC.
All that shooting and 1 hog checked in....

Any luck this weekend? Couldn’t hunt Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Friggin wedding. I ate and drank a lot of free food and booze to get back at them though. Hoping to get out this evening.

I was able to get out Saturday evening no luck but had a great experience on the walk out
We walked up on a bedded buck at about 50 yards
So we stopped and turned off the lights
We could see in the moon light that he was moving
After a bit he had come closer
He got to about ten yards so I flashed the light at him
It did not effect him in the least
Turned the light on and he just milled around for almost 5 minutes before he worked off down the hill
It was a fascinating encounter for sure
