Team 11 thread

Are you guys hunting Public? Private? What is your primary set up? Trad, compound, Xbow?
I grabbed a Transformer this year. Giving 1sticking a go as well.
I have a farm I hunt mostly with a few steps set, and small area behind my parents house I sit in a few times.
Been slowly working in some public last few years. Hope to hunt some big woods this fall in northern Michigan for a long weekend.
Second year out of the saddle.
Shooting a compound. Have an X-bow as well. But enjoy the bow out of the saddle.

Hope you guys all have a great Season! And we score some points!

I own 40 acres of private land, but due to high pressure on the public land that borders mine, (and neighbors poaching deer out of season) we sadly don't have the deer population that we use too. My husband and I have ventured out into hunting public land more than private, and have been pretty successful. I really enjoy archery season. I use a Compound bow, and this is my first year using a saddle. I just got my saddle set up last week and I've been practicing with it daily, trying to get comfortable with everything. So far I love it.

Private in Alabama and will be running around public land in Georgia with a compound whenever I can get a license.

New to saddle hunting and bow hunting in general. Usually just head out to the farm in Alabama and sit in the usual spots during the rut. Heading out there next weekend to preset with some bolts and got me some cell cams to run this year out there too. We got a couple persimmon trees in the back corner. I’ll put one on those and hopefully they’re ripe opening weekend.

We had a couple slammers for south Alabama on the cams last year and I ran into a couple in the stand but couldn’t close the deal. Hoping a few survived and I can get another shot this year.

Got 160 acres of private I'll be hunting and a few public spots I may hit up as well. There's potential for 140" class deer on the private farm I hunt but it's been less productive since my uncle switched the crop fields to hay fields.

My setup is a fleece saddle backed up by a safety harness, W.E. steps and knaider/swaider. Shooting compound but there's a xbow in my basement also.

I usually hunt some private urban spots in Arkansas, as well as some Corp land and now and then a WMA. However this season I plan to hunt Missouri for the first time, so that will probably cut into my Arkansas hunting. I will probably still hunt my urban spots in Arkansas that are closer to home when I just have a morning or evening to hunt. Those urban spots are my honey holes and are usually good for at least a couple deer a year. In Missouri I’ll be hunting mostly public, with the exception of one farm that is 240 acres, but hasn’t been managed and supposedly has a lot of poaching activity, along with the neighbors that hunt three sides of the property. I shoot a compound bow. Sorry for the long post

I hunt all public land and use a compound bow.
Also running with a Transformer this year but I haven't gotten it figured out for maximum comfort yet. The two panel thing is new to me. Think my Merlin is still my fav barely edging out my Kestrel for the top spot.

I was considering the transformer but I also like the looks of the tx5s I'm using a phantom right now and I have some complaints about it I'm doing alot of 1 sticking and I dont like how it rides up

I had a phantom for a month or so and ended up getting a latitude classic. A lot more comfortable for me and haven’t had a problem with riding up, but also not one sticking either.

I currently hunt out of a flex and really like it, but the two panel design has definitely peaked my interests. Before I spend any money on a different saddle, I need to put some money into my climbing system(I’m currently on 4 heliums).

It's the weekend, who's out gettin it done?
I'm out. . .driving the wife around :tonguewink:

Went out grocery and house shopping this morning. Moved to Georgia Wednesday so trying to get settled in still. Can’t wait for the opener in bama but our rut isn’t until late January so the action is usually a little slow until then.

Highs around 90 here in MO, and still dialing in broad heads so I'm knocking out family time and honey do's for now

Same here 90 degrees season opened yesterday but I'm not hunting today. I may make a hog hunt this evening. Next weekend the low is going to be in the 50s

I see a similar forecast for next weekend, thinking hard about a morning hunt for a doe next Sunday

Spent some time in the tree today shooting. @Hossmiller I still have my 4 helium's I used last year. I don't think I will get rid of them any time soon. There is just something about simple that's hard to beat.

Hi all! Hunting north Alabama here. I'll be hunting a good mix of public and private land. I run a phantom with modded helium sticks and shoot a compound. Should be a fun season and this is my first time in this contest format.

I've been out scouting and getting ready. A public zone about an hour from me opens 1 OCT and everything else 15 OCT.
