Full disclosure! Spined her at 25 yards. Not sure if she dropped or if i shot high. I did grunt to stop her in my shooting lane. That shot that you see was my 2nd shot.

I’m road tripping to North Carolina this weekend and spending the week down there. Good luck if you’re out!
 
Been working since Thursday and finish up this afternoon so I haven't been out. Monday will be my lone day off and the weather forecast doesn't look good but unless it's a full out monsoon I'll be hanging for sure.

Your North Carolina trip work related or pleasure?

We hiked Black Balsam Rock off of the blue ridge parkway yesterday. For someone from the Midwest, the topography and vistas are absolutely stunning!

Our long term plan is to move from MN. No destination in mind yet, but we’ve been half joking about moving here on this trip. I have yet to see any deer, but have been salivating on the drive through the NF!

Its starting to look like it. There's been three found dead in the first week of deer season, all near water. I'm sure as season progresses more will be found
