Team 12 Thread

Woke up to hard rain but getting out mid afternoon when it stops
 
I'll be heading to the family cabin tonight, the neighbors just gave us permission to hunt their 300 acres of river bottom (the only flat land on our side of the river for MILES). So looks like I've got a lot of ground to cover this weekend.
 
Saw two does 30 yards and a huge 8pt. 45 yards and in thick stuff no shot. Very exciting. Morning. Staying deep gonna give him everything I got. Only day I have to hunt before leaving for work for two weeks so making it an all day trip

I typically hunt 1 evening a week on my buck property and 1 or 2 mornings per week. Mornings are for ladies unless the ladies walk by on the buck property at night. We were recruited to shoot them ladies but the property has 3 big boys left. 2 were shot opening week. 135" and 142". 2 of 3 that are left are 130-140" but the Big boy is pushing 150 plus... so hopefully the bone will come. Today I cut some shooting lanes mid day for a new tree on the field edge to give me a few minutes more of shooting light. I LOVE ARCHERY! I wont get back out until next week. So you guys need to carry the load!
