I'm looking for a check in to see if everyone is actively participating! Here are the current standings!

Solid work so far guys!

@BRPikehunta

@ARERHODES
@Tree2Tree
@wdarby
@Basiiczxx
@waynedawg51

You guys been hunting? How have things been around your way? Plenty of time left, just checking in!

@woodsdog2
@CooterBrown

I see you guys have been active on the thread, how are things over yonder?

Thanks guys, keep poundin'!
You just got elected the official team 13 accountability chairman.

As I mentioned in my last post, I have not hunted the last two weeks due to our youth deer hunt and then vehicle problems. I will get out this Saturday after work. I have off work Nov 2-10 and will be hitting it HARD then.

Damn it...

Just kidding, the hunting part of my life is an obsession along with everything that goes with it. I am all in, all the time. I'll keep it up to date no biggy!

...thinking about tearing apart my YT channel and doing a full restructure. I know I can do better and go back to revamp videos to better production. My ol lady is gunna hate me by the end of this season...

GO TEAM 13!

Sorry I must have blanked out on the post! Good to know, good luck, lay the hammer!

Been out a couple times
No luck
Lost both properties they I have primarily hunted the last couple years so I have pushed to some new public land that I’ve never hunted
I’ve had two sits and almost 14 miles of scouting in the last two weeks
Been fun but no luck and not seeing much sigh on this property
Going to a different area tomorrow and hopefully it shows better results

Good luck. I don’t know your vehicle situation but I’ve found it’s worth driving a little to get to a better property even if it means only being to hunt the evening.

Yea the closest two places are just over an hour drive
The biggest problem is time to get away
But I am going to make it happen

Our season just started the 15th of October and I've only been able to hunt one morning and it was public land I've never been to( it was my first ever public land hunt BTW) and my first saddle hunt. I didn't see a deer but hope to go this evening to a new public land I've never hunted either. Its still so hot(them south winds @Nutterbuster) down here in the deep south and our rut isn't until mid January here so I've got plenty of time lol (hope I can contribute some points by then)

I've been out three times, haven't seen a deer. A friend of mine shot a 6 point on my farm, but i haven't seen much daytime movement in my typical locations.

Been out a couple times. They were a no show. Got high hopes for tomorrow, early muzzleloader season and since I am officially a "senior" hunter I can use a regular rifle for a baldie. Hope to reach out and touch one.

I'm slacking right now. I shot a small meat buck from the ground but because I wasn't in my saddle I wont enter him. On the 17th I was walking to a stand I hung back in Sept near some old historical rubs on a rub way into a big swamp. On the way in I noticed another hunting with folding chair on his back coming down the trail so I waited for him and asked where he was headed to not ruin each others hunts and he was reluctant to answer so I just showed him on Onx where my stand was and that I was going there. Well I get up in my stand and I see this guy sneak up the hill and do a 100 yards circle to a spot directly upwind of me where he sets up his chair. knowing there's no chance of me shooting anything where I'm at I climb down and walk up the hill 200 yards and tuck myself into a blow down. At day break I see a couple does I'm unable to get a solid shot at due to all the branches of the blow down. About 10 minutes later an abnormally large spike horn walks into range and I decide to shoot him knowing I probably wouldn't get to hunt on my NY bow/muzz either sex tag again. This week I'm driving down to Indiana to learn public land down there and hopefully arrow decent buck and if all fails I have a doe tag too. I'll be there until November 7th. After that I head up to Maine where depending on conditions I may track if weather permits but if it doesn't ill set up the saddle over fresh sign or does.spike.jpg

2799AC88-CA7B-4B72-9F12-109773E34B1A.jpegThought this guy was a nine point but is actually a ten. He has a broke point that will still easily make an inch. The one I shot yesterday had a broke point. Maybe I should rattle a little. It would add one more point to team 13.

The one I killed 10-6 I rattled in. Just the ever so slight tickling kind with a single grunt 30 seconds after I finished. I hear of guys who don’t think rattling is effective until rut...well where I live rattling is more effective before rut than during for whatever reason....?
