Please let me know how that killsuit works out.
Killsuit showed up. It's nice. Got the tan/brown one and it's a little light, but I want it do do double duty in the deer woods and in the marsh grass for duck hunting. Gonna make some modifications to it shortly. Hood has to go, and I may cut it off to make it short sleeve so I can use my hands better and so it doesn't get caught in the mini or when racking the 500

Sitting only about 4 feet off the ground to get best view of this oak flat. Foggy morning. Season has been slow so far. Not a whole lot of movement in all my traditional spots. Seen a few on previous sits, but no shooters.

Had a small 5 point this evening sneak in out a standing corn field, didn't give me a shot. I'm hoping for a bigger one to come along. Have till next Sunday here in PA. Hoping to get on the board.

I've been watching bucks chase and have seen some of my best rut action yet but they are all small. Cams have all the big boys moving through at night. Hopefully the big dogs break daylight soon!

Had 3 small ones come through so far. Big ones are getting on their feet in daylight as of Wednesday here. Should be wide open rut for the next 2-3 weeks

Just got back from Indiana, had some good hunts and probably passed up some bucks I should have shot. I had 12 bucks go by within bow range. I even passed up a 90-100 inch 10 or 11 point on the second morning because he was only a 2 or 3 year old deer. I had one buck that would have easily gone 150-160 inches run by right under my stand a few feet off a does butt I tried everything to get him to stop for the shot but he refused. I hunted that buck hard for the next few days but never got a shot. Coming from a state that you may not see 12 bucks in 3 years it was well worth the trip. Now onto Maine where I may be in the saddle, if we don't get tracking conditions

Indiana is on my short list for next year. You hunting public out there?
Yes, I was on public the entire time. I picked Indiana because I have a buddy I was in the Army with down there and it made a easy and affordable trip. I was actually surprised by how much public land was available and had no issues with pressure until the last hunt and those were gun hunters scouting and putting up stands.

Well had an exciting morning
Had two bucks come in and posture up doing circles
Took a shot at this guy at 20 yards
Clean missed between his feet
Not sure what happened but went and checked bow all good
Shooting true at the bag
Guess it was all operator error
So back to the tree to see if one of them come back

You're making me wish I stayed down there. Are you on public?
