Let us down tonight.... Had to bundle up cuz it was 40 degrees and 17mph wind... Well my bow string hit my jacket and I missed low on a big doe. Just happy it was a clean miss.

I was able to squeeze in a hunt tonight at the urban property I have for another week. So far I see a decent buck clear on the other side of the field, usually this place is stacked in does...well see.
 
Think I found the real reason that I missed the doe the other night... I guess my limb stops have been migrating. So if I really cranked back, say in the heat of the moment hunting, I was shooting like 1.5ft low. I have it fixed and set so they can't creep, back in the saddle and shooting consistent 4" groups at 40! Just goes to show we need to keep practicing and checking gear during the season.

I made an opportunity to check cameras last night, found some young bucks, a slug if does and this guy...

I did kill a doe Monday but I wasn’t in the saddle. Sorry guys I needed meat in freezer. Winning is great but not as good as tenderloin. Lol. I’ll be at it the next 3 weeks though and mainly from a saddle
 
I should be able to contribute some points eventually. Only get to hunt Saturday nights and I've had deer in front of me each hunt. Had a big 6 chasing does in front of me last Saturday but didn't get any closer than 45 yards. Probably won't shoot a doe until later in the season -I have 3 doe tags to fill.
 
I’ve been passing sm ones like crazy. Don’t worry I won’t let you down. Got alot of season left here....

awesome stuff. Like the fleece saddle build - pretty cool - been reading up on those a lot. Just made one with just paracord on the ends like DaveT posted in his video, but having the material slip - it compresses down to the knot size, so that method isn't going to work. But man is it way more comfortable than my kestrel! Still need to figure out a good build but I don't have a machine or speedi stitcher. May just need to get one. Did cutting the material in a U make a big difference in comfort or just bulk??

No get that baby moving! Keep us posted on that too!
