Who's all getting after it this week/weekend? I'll be out for the opener ,for the rest of the state, Friday. Goodluck to everyone.
Supposed to be a great weekend here. Highs in the low 60's and lows in the low 40's. Pinned a red oak bottom that was just beginning to drop last Sunday. There's at least two studs still living on this property. Just gotta restrain myself from shooting the first fat doe that comes in!

Really hoping for a good weekend. Big front moving out Friday afternoon, and bringing in some nice crisp mornings. Bucks have been hitting the big community scrape my cam is on, but not a ton in shooting light. Had a nice one this morning, but about 2 hours before shooting light. Hoping the weather moving out let's him sleep in a couple extra hours....

Well, openning weekend was a wash, last weekend was full of family stuff, and this weekend is looking like 50% plus chance of rain and my wife is on call...its been kind of a $hiddy season so far. Hope to get out sunday morning if its not pouring.

Hope you guys all get better luck on weather and such. Good luck out there.

Bout stuck another doe off the ground today. Rolled up to the job site and saw 4 fat does with no fawns feeding under a pin oak. 15mph wind a wet leaves let me slip in to 25 yards before one of the does picked me off. Would have lost a few hours of pay but would have been totally worth it. The boss didn't think I'd make it within 40yds .

I’m still in France, got extended for a week, going to miss most of our muzzleloader season.
Very depressed
That stinks!! Hopefully you’ll be able to make up for it when you get back!

Missed a doe this morning, tried to setup a few times this evening but wind wouldn't cooperate and I couldn't keep my eyes open. Back at camp gonna eat and get to sleep. It's hot. Ready for this cold front.

I am. Got to hunting height at 3:45, doe walked in at 4:15. Didn't kill her, there's a few real nice bucks frequenting these two red oaks that are dropping. Should be good weather all weekend. Plan on hunting/scouting all day tomorrow.

Aren’t even allowed to hunt public in VA on Sunday due to those outdated, ram it down your throat Blue Laws. The first day the temps are going to drop here.

Heck of a deer man! Well done and congrats!

Cool morning tomorrow, so hoping for some movement. Plan on being in early and keeping my fingers crossed for some good action.
