I get ya, there’s a lot to figure out with a new system & it’s still just hunting. By the looks of that avatar pic, you’ll do fine.
This is my 3rd season in a saddle, just new to this forum.. Currently running tethrd phantom, predator platform with pack, 4 tethrd one sticks with amsteele single aiders, 2 pouches with knives, meat bags etc and a 2 liter camel pack. Totals 8 lbs. killed my avatar buck out the phantom last November on public ground

What state are you hunting?
I hunt my home state Mississippi as well as Kentucky and southern Illinois. I hunt the Shawnee national forest in Illinois

If a guy with the handle Nutterbuster PMs you beware, he is a local piddler from South Alabama that will be hunting Mississippi this year. He’s gonna try and get all of your public land hunting spot information! Lol
well he can have at em, I hunt private land where I live.. I did win a lottery draw for Canemount WMA this year for October 15,16,17 only available to residents. you seeing any deer movement on the backside of that storm?
I saw a spike and few does, but I wasn’t out much after that. I’ll be back at it this weekend. I walked a piece of public the other day that I scouted last fall, kicked up a buck and might try and figure that area out some more. How’s everyone doing out there?

Alright fellas gonna hit the woods this morning for a first of the season sit. It’s still good and warm so I don’t know how long I’ll sit but I’m excited to get out there. Taking the stick bow for the first time seriously. Good luck everyone.

Just a few photos from a tasco camera that I set out for two weeks on a fresh scrape. The scrape had since went dry. Last year around mid to late October this whole road was covered in scrapes and had a few bucks on camera. I think they’ll start popping up more in the next couple weeks. I like trail cam pics of all wildlife, thought I’d share.
