Wild morning today. Best I’ve ever had. Shot 4 deer and had a whole days work ahead of me

well, my dad talked one into giving up tonight. His biggest ever and one of the three we were after. Took it at 30 yards at last light. He texted me “Ishot one” didn’t say buck, didn’t say big bucks or anything else so I slowly got out of the woods and got in my truck and headed his way. Half way there he called and said I shot a buck, and I think it’s big. We had a short track and walked into him. He was on cloud nine all night. I even gutted it for him and we are now having a drink to celebrate.

Need some advice: I pulled an all day sit yesterday for the first time in the saddle. I am waiting on my new ewo UP to ship to me and sold my platform to pay for it (big mistake) so I spend the day on just my one stick without a platform. My feet ached by the end of the day and I fidgeted all day up there. I saw deer, only one shooter but only for a split second as he was chasing a doe right at dark.
I will be out this evening and then again all day tomorrow. I do not have a good high traffic spot to hunt unfortunately... I am hunting the edge of all the action on property I have permission to hunt and spend the day watching deer run the property I can’t hunt. Any suggests to get them to head my way? I have two hot areas to the right and left at 100 yards. I went as far as walking into where I can’t hunt and doing a drag line back to my stand, I grunt and bleat and pray a lot while I watch these deer run at 100 yards to both sides of me.

picture 7 acres hunting the corner and 80 acres of farm field to the left, 100 acres woods to my front and 150 acres woods/100 acres fields to my right. I have seen 20+ deer every sit to my left and 30+ to my right in those fields at the same time every evening so I know I am surrounded by tons of deer. Can’t seem to get them to wander into my little 7 acre area I am sitting. Any suggestions?
My advice to you? Ask your Dad!!!!

@Jagger0502 you are going to really enjoy the UP platform. Not sure if you're getting the whole EWO Ultimate One Stick or not with the UP Platform but in my opinion, it is hands down the best mobile climbing system out there. I can't speak highly enough about it.

He shot that buck 40 yards from where I hunt up there. He did it well, set up

i am getting the whole setup. Cant wait till it gets here. My all day sit was just one. A stick with no platform. My feet felt it at the end of the day.

I completely agree. I have a cruzr seeker and almost never use it. I either rope climb using the jrb climbing method or single stick climb with an Eastern Woods Outdoors stick with a UP on top. I usually just use the UP as my platform no matter how I climb.

That was my goal was to minimize all the stuff I have laying around. I sold my platform I used when SRT climbing and will likely end up selling my current stick with aider when this comes in and only have one stick as an option or if I SRT this will serve as the platform but either way the only thing I would need to adjust in my pack is my rope length and everything else can stay attached to my pack with those two methods and any tree I come across will be fair game. I carry a 40’ rope 90% of the time to rappel and it doubles over as an SRT rope and I also have a 75’ rope if I come across something higher.

I went thru all my hunting and fishing gear last year and gave piles of it away to my nieces and nephews and going to do the same with anything I didn’t use this year. Goal is to have only what I need on hand and keep things simple. Now if only I could have my wife do the same with all her stuff we have stored everywhere....

Remember to get your saddle in a picture with and all that!!
