No didn't get a picture with my saddle in it? Did I need to do that?

Unfortunately. Saddle in the picture has been a rule for all the years the contest has been on. We edited to remove the requirement for the hunter to be in the picture but the saddle still needs to be there.

Sorry man, its a great doe and I know she'll eat good but I can't count her in the contest. I sincerely wish I could for two reasons, First she's a beautiful doe and second, I'd like to see all the teams on the board . . . But it will just open the door for future disputes. Hope you understand. Shoot some more and remember the saddle next time. Again, Congrats on the monster doe!

"5. A photo of the full body of the deer with the saddle is required to be posted in the official deer contest thread for submission. If you have 1000 posts or more you do not need to include the saddle in your photo, we will take your word on the honor system. "

Update: yesterday was the best bowhunting day in 50 yrs....my walk in is 7/8 of a mile thru March and cedar tamaracks...once I get to the river I put on knee highs since its a little higher elevation...from that point my set up is 80 yrds....its a beautiful spot...I'm actually within 60yrds of my target bucks bed. It's 5:15 am and feel pretty confident I've beat him back to his bed. Around 10:45 my camera goes off and starts sending me picture after picture...here's the best part my target buck is with a bigger buck I've never seen or have gotten pictures of in three yrs hunting this buck...Freight-train is a 160 and Hubb is 180+. The drama was they were both bedded down there until 3:45 before they got up and went south of my location..it was spectacular to have two so close but never presented a shot...no bullshit two large cedars blocked my view but my camera told the storyScreenshot_20211011-145543_Tactacam Reveal.jpg

Hey guys this whole seasonal event is to have fun, fellowship with each other, and share our experiences so your hunting knowledge grows and develops. Yes we keep score for this Saddle Hunter Contest, but let me remind you - your already a winner you put a archery tag on a doe, created a beautiful memory, and shared that experience amongst those who cherish this sport. So don't ever feel bad. We have plenty of season left and plenty of stories to share...lets keep it Real guys on Team Six.
Share your deer hunting strategies and hunting tactics for Team 6 just might be the team of wisdom....Go Get'em

I'll share my embarrassment from last Thurs.
I was hunting a spot in the suburbs where I saw my best buck last year. I only got a very brief glimpse of him - 25yds but very thick.
This set up was the location where I believed he travelled after getting up from his bed - lots of past rubs. I was in a very large pine tree and my 5 ROS ring meant I couldn't get could coverage around the tree, in particular there were no steps on one side. As the afternoon wears on a doe comes into view at abt 4:00 - the window is very small, 3 ft, I don't have time to cross the bridge for a weak side shot, so I rotate but she's moved and only have her hind end in the window ... pass.
I'm back to watching the area I expect the deer and hear more noise at 2:00, a quick peek and I see a few more doe following the first. I rotate again, the first is through the window - but there's 2 more!
I decide to get good purchase for the shot I have to rotate my foot because there's no step to my right. Well the next one saw that movement and took a couple hops through the window. I draw on the fourth one, but she's come in a bit further away from the others. She sees the draw and stops with her vitals behind a sapling... She steps forward after a minute or so - directly behind another branch, and gone through the window.
Every year I feel I've learned a lot from the previous year, but still have so much more to learn.
Sorry to let the team down - but it's been a great season so far. Back at it in the AM.

I wish I was a headlight on a north-bound train
