Team 6!

I'm working all weekend and trying to get ahead on school work so I might get a morning sit or two in before this weekend. I've been eyeballing the ezv as well just hadn't had the extra dough to fork out as of yet! My next purchase will be either the ezv or a commercially made saddle.

That may be a problem. Im a single pin guy. I have have a trophy ridge 3 pin but I took out 1 of them, it was too bright at early or late light. I still have a 2nd pin behind my primary pin that I use. I just dont like sighting on a deer and thinking "now was the yellow or red or green pin my 20 yard pin"? It cost me on a deer once. I also dont like to aim and the pin be so bright I cant focus on the deer. Thats why I like using the amber/yellow pin versus red, etc.
Less I have to think is always better for me. LOL cause I have a bad habit of over thinking everything.
I will have to check out his videos. It advertises that if you dont have great eyesight it works great. I use readers right now but if it would help me Im all about it. Getting old stinks....

Well, the wife gave me the go ahead to purchase a saddle. So I ordered the recon sling from treehopper! I've been wanting to diy one like the wraptor. Just don't have the extra time for it this season.

I have a 6 pin sight. Mostly because I enjoy shooting out to 65 and 75 yards during practice sessions. But, they do create clutter in the sight housing during hunting. That is the reason I may switch to the ezv.

If I had to do it over again I probably would have went with the Recon. I love my H2 but a lot of people I have talked to and/or read on here sold their "cool" saddles and went with the Recon and loved it.

Thanks for the input. I may just go ahead and bite the bullet. Would you guys do it right now before season or would it be better to wait til after Bow season?
That is a personal preference in my opinion. But, if it's as effective as it looks i would definitely prefer doing it sooner than later. But I would definitely spend a day or two testing at various distances and angles to get comfortable with sight acquisition and target acquisition. They say its a pretty seamless transition.

I'm hoping I made the right choice. I was just tired of wearing my hss harness with my DIY saddles. I wanted a more streamlined system. I know it probably won't be as comfortable as my fleece saddle but much lighter, as soon as you loose the harnesd.

Ok, one more question regarding the EZ V sight. What about arrow weight? Some like the lighter faster arrows, some are on the Heavy arrow kick. How does the sight compensate for arrow weight differences?
They come with multiple inserts for the speed of your setup. Its actually a pretty awesome sight system. Yall are making me have to go home tonight and beg the wife to make another purchase!

Fwiw, I am shooting 530g arrows at 245 fps. I don't/won't take a shot past 40yds so the effect is minimal, but the slower your setup, the steeper the V. That makes judging the farther distances more difficult. What I did on my first shot at an animal, was range it first. That way I knew what distance the deer was. Then I used the V to what I thought was the right frame. Before I shot, I cross checked it with the ticks to make sure I was on....and I was.

Just looked at my schedule. Ill get 2 morning hunts this week. Thursday and Friday. Have a cold front coming through the next couple of days and school is taking up most of my mornings. But I'll have 10 degree drops in consecutive mornings. Friday evening ill be in the blind with my youngins. I should have a total of 5 hunts by the end of the weekend. 3 with the youths and 2 by myself.
