Back in the same tree I killed my bear from the other night. Still hot out here. On this northern side of this hill it seems to be a little cooler and the sun disappears a little sooner. The big 9 has been showing up here fairly often in the evenings.
Hopefully tonight is the night!

Almost connected this morning. Just had 40 min encounter with that buck. He seems he doesn’t like other deer. Had a spike and probably 2.5 yo 7 pointer within 15 of me and he stayed on outskirts 35+ yards most of time. He gave me 1 shot at 36 but I was shaking waaaay too much to feel comfortable taking that shot at my biggest buck to date…

Looks like some nice bucks! Wish I could figure out my deer that well. After like 6 or 7 sits I finally saw a nice doe last night but out about 50 yds. Then I got a cell pic of a new buck moving a couple hours later about 400 yds above my sit. I have pics of only 1 other 8 pntr and smaller bucks but all night since early sept.

I took my first spike today! This one means a lot with a 4 week old baby, a busted hot water heater last week and a leaking pipe at the house!!! It was a 12 yard shot from the saddle on a strap on stand. He was down in 15 seconds and didn’t got 35 yards. An easy double lung & top of the heart pass through for my 615gr grizzlystik samurai set up.

Dang guys this buck is running me ragged lol. He was getting closer to daylight and I hadn’t seen him since beginning of week so I put 3 hunts on him. 2 yesterday and 1 this morning.

Looks like he showed up 740pm last night and hung around for almost 40 mins.. might need to knock on a few doors to catch him earlier
