Team 7!

Found some aweosme rubs about a mile and a half in on the mountain - never seen them broke off like this! Found them on a bench around a stand of oaks. Im gunna try it tomorrow, suppose to be warm and rainy.

I wont get to hunt that spot again until December, gotta make it happen while i can.

Other than finding three scrapes in a row the other morning and this one having pee with steam coming off of it and poop in it that’s about the most exciting thing I encountered on that hunt. One step closer.

A day of firsts. First sit in the recon. First deer of the year. First deer in the snow with a bow. First time being on this property to hunt. And also my longest shot taken with a bow to date, a whopping 26 yards. It was fun to watch her dive into the snow up to the base of her ears sniffing out pin oak acorns. Shake her head like a wet dog and crunch those acorns.

Sorry no smile. I'm not much for taking a selfie lol

Looks like it ended up working out!! Congrats!!!! Always fun hunting the snow.

@Pooh , congrats on the deer.
I was hunting yesterday from 2:30 to dark. Busting out in the dark through heavy brush and walking a mile is no fun. I have not seen a deer in about a dozen hunts. I am thinking the spotted lantern flies must have eaten them all. I think they killed a lot of trees.

Well my sit was an hour. As far as first thoughts... It's comfy I really like it. It packs nice, makes a nice deer drag strap, and has the ability to customize with accessories and pouches on the molle.
I ran it completely naked, no pouches, no biners, nothing. It's more comfy then the mantis I had, the Phantom copy I made, and equal to the sling I made. We will see. At this time I'd recommend it to anyone.

Covered 5 miles on public this weekend and found some awesome sign! Pulled one camera and set another up on a hot scrape at a great transition area. I got this deer leaving a bedding area, As they start cruising for does I hope to catch him slipping out. Gonna head over that way this weekend and hunt/scout some more for the upcoming gun permit hunt I have there in 3 weeks. Screenshot_20201025-140123_Video Player.jpg

I'll hit a combo of public and private. Just today my cousin while dropping his son off at his parents saw 3 guys in camo on piece non huntable state land that borders us. Idk if they were scouting or looking for a hit deer but it sucks. I delt with Dnr on it but it's nothing new. We have a lot of poachers and pressure where I live and it's getting worse. We'll comb the woods Sunday. Last year Dnr busted two guys not far from there and the guy pulled a pistol on him....he went to jail..crazy
Annnnnd we found the dead buck....4pt smh

Alright team 7, maybe this one will get us kickstarted. NJ public land 6 pointer. Shot at noon yesterday. I hit him a little back and quartering away. Decided to play it safe and let him lay until this morning. I actually found him by moonlight right where I thought he may have dropped.
